A natural wine vintner depends on the natural yeast present on the grapes’ skins to ferment the juice and convert the grapes into wine. There is nothing put into it, and there’s nothing taken out.
Natural wine is kept as untouched as possible, with grapes that have been grown without the use of any pesticides. To ensure the grapes are uncontaminated, a vineyard that produces natural wine will usually adhere to organic or biodynamic farming methods.
